Broadening thy Perspective

I listened to a few lectures from Dr.Jordan. B. Peterson for broadening my perspective about psychology and my ways of life. I was able to identify that totalitarianism has a negative impact on our lives.

Totalitarianism results in shortening and limiting the human perspective to the ideas that are generated for a specific purpose that leads to the profit of totalitarian regimes.

Social media, pornography, alcohol, invasive eating, tobacco consumption and other deadlier forms of substance abuse result in accumulation of addictions. Addictions narrow down the human perspective and result in accumulation of stress.

According to my personal observation, one of the great symptoms of accumulation of stress is the narrowing down of human perspective. A part of the human brain gets utilised for identification and analysis of information gathered from the environment under the spell of delusions that happen because of addictions. The rest of the regions of human brain responsible for cognition are not utilised. As per one of the scientific findings the regions of the human brain that are responsible for addictions are also the ones that are responsible for development of human cognition. It is therefore necessary that the human conscience should be alleviated out of addictions, particularly, those that hinder with development of a clearer cognition.

Totalitarianism is responsible for development of those businesses that are developing business models designed for modifying human behavior. Infact, social media and many other forms of media are supporting totalitarian regimes of companies that do not value the importance of natural human connections.

It is henceforth my humble request that we should try to live a life concerned with responsible behavior and stay away from toxic circle of addictions.

It is also necessary that we acquire knowledge from scientific and academic textbooks as well as appreciate the wisdom taught by the enlightened and educated minds of our ages that have a respect for scientific temperament, spirituality and philosophy.
